CALL TO ORDER
Eric called the meeting to order at 6:02 pm.
PUBLIC COMMENT SESSION
A resident came in to speak regarding a denial he recently received on his wall plans by the Architectural Review Committee. Eric Henn directed the LICA staff to send the rules on the appeal process to the resident. A resident came in to discuss the piazza lido medians. This resident informed the LICA board members they had started a petition requesting the board to consider the input from the residents before making a final decision. Another resident came in to support the idea of taking more time on the medians complying with city standards. A resident came in to share her thoughts on the new playground equipment planned for Genoa/Nord. The resident said the Board should consider what children enjoy most, size, width, and overall height. A few residents came in to discuss the possibilities of allowing a space at one of our LICA docks for boat owners to clean their boats. The residents offered their assistance to help the Board with the details in this process.

Leslie made a motion to approve the April 10th, 2019 Board minutes. The motion was seconded by Marsha and passed.

Assistant Managers Report

Clubhouse Frontage
The front of the clubhouse has had the fig removed, plaster /gutter repaired and painted. A new bid for gutters was obtained May 7.
Stradas:
Alanna Anderson will begin training on strada walks beginning week of May 6th.
Landscape
Lighting at Zurich/Nord park has been repaired. Lighting at Genoa/Soud median has been repaired. Lighting at Antibes monument has been repaired.
Erosion
Cousyn grading has completed beach erosion repair at the clubhouse, Nord and Soud beaches, and the Firenze park.
OLD BUSINESS
Item A. Consideration for design at Antibes and Piazza Median will be on hold and drawings will be in the next Lido Islander and displayed at the clubhouse. No Motion was made.
NEW BUSINESS
Item A. Dave made a motion to transfer $35,892.41 from the reserve account to the operating holding account to reimburse for reserve expenditures from the operating account. The motion was seconded by Marsha Farrell and passed.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
MCIC:
Dave updated the Board regarding the San Remo Park Project.
AVIATION COMMITTEE:
Shana updated the Board on the importance for the island to band together and write letters to the City regarding JWA expansion. She has been working with Diane Dixon. A letter on behalf of all residents on Lido Isle was sent to the Board of Supervisors requesting our desire for Alternative Three.
ARCHITECTURAL COMMITTEE:
The Board was updated on the progress being made on Directive 6 changes.
CC&Rs:
Marion and Shana updated the Board on new procedures for posting Directive changes. Any Directive change will be noted in the Islander directing members to review the updated directive on our website which will also be posted at the clubhouse.
CLUBHOUSE/SNACK BAR:
The Board was informed that LIYC is working with Jennifer on the services for the Junior Sailing program. The purchase of two new tables, 4 benches, and 4 chairs has been ordered for the patio.
EROSION:
The Board was updated that work was completed on the Soud, Nord, and Clubhouse beaches to repair the damage created by the winter storms.
LANDSCAPE:
A second meeting on the end park site needing landscape edging was held at the City. The City made recommendations to the preliminary plans. The landscape committee is looking into ideas for the Clubhouse wall after the creeping fig was removed.
SPECIAL EVENTS:
Marsha informed the Board that the July 4th parade plans are in progress. There will be a Parade, an open snack bar, and a band.
TENNIS CLUB:
Leslie is meeting with the Tennis Club Board tomorrow.
YACHT CLUB:
Leland has been approached by LIYC to address the striping of Genoa East Boat Garden.
